Draft Strategic Plan

Northbank Community Garden volunteers have been working hard to develop a draft Strategic Plan to capture our vision, mission and key plans for the next 5-10 years, as well as our longer term aspirations. So far, we have consulted with the council and local businesses in two sets of focus groups where we gathered suggestions and looked at opportunities and challenges. In May 2024 we finished a two month campaign that collected broader community feedback. We had an online survey and stalls at the Bellingen Plant Fair and Bellingen Show.

We are now in the process of compiling all the feedback.

We hope to have the plan finalised in mid - 2024.

The development of this Plan has been made possible by the generous support of the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal and hardworking local volunteers.

Building food resilience for the whole community

Northbank is a 5-acre organic, not-for-profit community garden on Gumbaynggirr Country that holds a special place in the hearts of the Bellingen community. The permaculture-designed garden contains fruit trees, medicinal and culinary herbs, communal gathering spaces, a kitchen, a composting toilet, and large garden plots for rent.

The garden is located at 100 Northbank Road, Bellingen, NSW

Come and forage for your lunch today, or join us at our next workshop or garden day, we'd love to see you.
